About us

Out of the love for the plant, GrowBIGogh Inc was founded in May of 1995 as a retail hydroponics store servicing South Santa Clara County, San Benito County and Santa Cruz County. In 1997, we expanded to add a commercial division, with an offsite soil yard, warehouse, and super heavy duty delivery vehicles. Chris McGrowin ran daily routes through Salinas, Hollister, Moss Landing and Watsonville, plus delivering to a few clients in San Jose, Humboldt, Santa Barbara and SoCal. In 1998 we opened our Salinas commercial facility on the Hwy 101 frontage @ Spence Rd. In 2023 we opened our online store (www.growbigogh.com/online-store) and an Amazon store (higher prices than you'll see here due to the Amazon markup). In 2025, we opened our Commercial Online portal that you are currently logged into. 

Over the years, we have found our niche. Our company competes with the likes of Nutrien Ag, but with a specific focus on high value cropping, especially commercial cannabis in controlled environment ag. We still own and operate retail hydroponic stores, and understand our clients' needs when producing at scale. We carry over 10,000 products from propagation to harvest, and decline to stock some products we have found not to be effective or otherwise inferior to products we do stock. Our company can provide guidance on IPM SOPs, fertigation system design and scheduling, grow media optimization, harvest automation and flow, lighting optimization, climate control, and other critical success factors.
